Do I need to be referred to by a GP?
No, you don’t need a GP referral to book an appointment. You can contact the us directly. However, some insurance providers may require a referral for reimbursement, so it’s worth checking your policy.
How soon can I get an appointment?
Appointments are usually available within a few days. We will always do our best to accommodate urgent cases as quickly as possible.
Will I have treatment on my first consultation?
Yes. Your first session will include a detailed case history, examination, and, where appropriate, treatment during the same appointment.
How long does a treatment take?
The initial consultation typically lasts 60 minutes. Follow-up treatments are 40 minutes.
Will I be given exercises/advice?
Yes. You will usually be given tailored exercises, stretches, or lifestyle advice to support your recovery and help prevent future issues.
I have private medical insurance - am I covered with you?
Many private health insurers provide cover for osteopathy. Coverage depends on your plan, so we recommend checking directly with your provider before booking.
What about payments?
Payment is made directly at the clinic after your appointment. We accept cash and most major debit/credit cards.
Can I have my appointment after work hours?
Evening or weekend appointments may be available by arrangement. Please contact the clinic to discuss suitable times.
If i need a referral to a consultant, do I need to visit my GP again?
No, you do not need to see your GP again but Barry would encourage that you do so as this keeps your GP fully informed and your medical records up to date.
